Get ready for the rain with our weatherproof waxed cottons and soft-shells.

Our mid-weight waxed canvas is water-repellent and breathable. Perfect for outerwear, raincoats, and bags, it has a matte appearance and a soft, dry handle.

This oilskin has a dry wax finish and does not need to be lined. Waxed fabric will soften and develop creases with age which adds to the charm of this heritage product.

Care: Remove dirt with a soft brush or spot clean with cold water on a sponge or cloth. It is better not to wash this fabric. Do not dry clean. Use a cool setting on your iron or use finger pressing or clapper with a pressing cloth.

Inspired by a 1910 patent for waterproofing textiles. It is treated with an emulsified wax which is heat-processed into the cloth for a longer lasting finish and higher performance. The finish is vegan.

This type of oilskin is water resistant, so this means that the water doesn’t completely run off it, but it won’t come through to the other side either.
